What is Children’s Book Day?

International Children’s Book Day (ICBD) is a yearly event sponsored by the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY). It has been a day that has been observed on or around Hans Christian Andersen’s birthday, April 2nd. There are writing competitions, book awards and special events with authors of children’s literature.

The Timeless Classics

Growing up we all remember climbing on our mother or father’s lap to have stories read to us. We all had our favorites that would be read over and over. As we’ve grown, we want to share those favorites with our own children. Those books hold a cherished place in our hearts and bring back moments of happiness and joy when we see them at the bookstore.
